Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Hon. Oneidge Walrond, today met with Hon. Emma Hippolyte, Minister of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs of St. Lucia. Minister Hippolyte is part of a St Lucian delegation presently visiting Guyana.
During the meeting, the two ministers examined several areas of cooperation, including the promotion of the trade of products and services between the two countries, as well as avenues for developing stronger linkages. Minister Walrond also shared some of the short and medium-term development plans for Guyana.
Minister Walrond was accompanied by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Sharon Roopchand-Edwards.
